What is The Haus of Jojo? Where is it and what does it contain?
It started many years ago as a folder on my desktop of creative ideas and thoughts for all the things that I wanted to play with and explore. Eventually, I started to referring to my creative self as The Haus of Jojo and here we are.
Haus means ‘house’ in German, of course. Haus of Jojo sounds like a fashion enterprise. A house is a home, and this will be a home for my creativity— projects, ideas, inspiration, thoughts and explorations. This will be a place to play. A creative diary, if you will.
I made an attempt at blogging over a year ago as a means of creative self discovery. However, daily life got a bit too much in the way and kept me from my pursuing my original goals. Last year was a tumultuous time of little work/life balance, rethinking my creative voice and ultimately relocating my life from NYC to London. Needless to say the past year has left a mark and lead me to become a different person as I refocus on my passions and aspirations. As I start out the new year with a new perspective for 2019, I realise that I am no longer the same person I was when I started my blog. I have different ideas about what I want to create and how I want to document the journey. And thus, I have relaunched and reformatted the Haus of Jojo to better reflect where I am creatively.
